We get so many questions about which glitter is best for covering shoes, that we thought we had better share some of our top tips! Depending on the effect you are after, we recommend either the 0.015” grade or the chunky 0.040” grade, they both give a good even covering and a great sparkly effect. There is such a wide range of adhesives to choose from that it can be hard to know where to start. The most important thing is to check that the adhesive bonds to the surface of your shoe, as practically any all purpose adhesive will bond safely and successfully with the glitter itself. Most shoes are normally leather / suede, fabric, patent, or leather effect and mostly a good strong all purpose glue will suffice, but we do recommend testing a small discrete patch first and sometimes with patent shoes it is necessary to roughen the surface with a light sand paper before applying the glue. Normally we recommend two 40g bags per pair of shoes but size and style may mean that you need slightly more or less than this. So whether its red ruby slippers or a show stopping night out, get your glitz on and have fun !!!!!
